Gurupurnima

Gurupurnima is a sacred occasion dedicated to expressing reverence, gratitude and devotion towards the Guru, who guides an individual on the path of knowledge, spirituality and self-realization. At Shri Dattatreya Prasad Annadhan Ashram, Varanasi, Gurupurnima holds a special spiritual significance in honour of His Holiness Shri Shri 1008 Mauni Baba Ji. The day is an opportunity for devotees to seek the blessings of the Guru, offer their prayers and deepen their spiritual connection with the divine. The Guru is regarded as the guiding force who dispels ignorance and leads the seeker towards truth and higher consciousness. As expressed in the sacred Guru Stuti:
“गुरुर ब्रह्मा गुरुर विष्णु गुरुर देवो महेश्वरः
गुरुः साक्षात्परब्रह्मा तस्मै श्री गुरुवे नमः।”
